Tricia Gates Brown works as a writer/editor in Oregon's Willamette Valley. After completing a PhD from the University of St. Andrews in 2000, she continued to pursue her studies—energetically self-educating in theology, spirituality, and the emotional life. She is an Ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon, and an art quilter, poet, and novelist, besides. Her debut novel Wren won a 2022 Independent Publishers Award Bronze Medal. Her first collection of poetry is forthcoming in mid-2025 from Fernwood Press. She writes a column for Patheos HERE.
